Maksim Martsinkevich and nine members of Restruct movement found guilty of series of attacks on citizens in Moscow

A court has recognized the evidence gathered by the Major Cases Directorate of the Investigative Committee as sufficient to convict Maksim Martsinkevich and nine members of Restruct movement. Depending on the role each of them played in crimes, they were found guilty of property destruction, robberies, disorderly behavior and attacks on residents and guests of Moscow, deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm including those leading to the death of the victim under Part 3, item “a” of Article 111, Part 2, items “a” and “d” of Article 161, Part 4, item “c” of Article 162, Part 2 of Article 167, Part 2 of Article 213 and Article 282 of the RF Criminal Code.

During the investigation of the case which made up more than 50 files, the investigators ran more than 20 different forensic examinations, including psycholinguistic and technical, medical, assessment, dactylographic, psychiatric, biological, ballistic, traceological, chemical, sociological and computer-technical ones. The latter one restored photos and videos on the devices used by participants of the attacks. The investigators questioned a lot of witnesses in different regions of Russia and held face-to-face interrogations. The data received confirmed that it was the persons and accomplices identified by the investigators who committed the attacks.

The court has sentenced Martsinkevich to 10 years in a maximum-security correctional facility, while his accomplices got between 3 and 10 years to be served in a minimum-security correctional facility.
