Alexander Bastrykin hold briefing in Crimea


The Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has held today a briefing in the city of Simferopol. The meeting was attended by head of the Investigative Committee’s Crimea Directorate Mikhail Nazarov, head of Sebastopol Office Viktor Tanifa and employees of the two divisions.

Mr. Bastrykin heard reports by heads of investigative offices on performance in the past 5 months and results of major cases under investigation. He gave explicit orders and drew attention to the necessity to stick to the time limit of preliminary investigation and to carry out efficient investigations, to working with applications filed by citizens and to staffing.

After the meeting, Mr. Bastrykin laid flowers at the Victory Lilac memorial plate on Memory Lane dedicated to war veterans who had worked as investigators and fought in the Great Patriotic War.

The lane and the memorial plate were laid in Simferopol on 18 April 2015, on the initiative of head of Investigative Committee’s Crimea Directorate Lieutenant General of Justice Mikhail Nazarov. 70 lilac bushes were planted together with beteran investigators as tribute to veterans and all those killed in the war.
