The Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee is investigating a case opened against a 29-year-old man charged with deliberate inflicting of grievous bodily harm entailing death of a child under Part 4 of Article 111 of the RF Criminal Code.

According to investigators, on the morning of 10 July 2017, the man hit his 2-year-old son several times. The child died the next day of injuries.

According to the boy’s mother, the man was his biological father.

By now, the man has been detained and is now being interrogated. He is expecting a custodial restraint. The investigators are working to gather and document evidence. The investigation continues.
