Organizer of passenger transportation detained in probe into Vladimir Region train and bus collision

The Moscow Interregional Transport Office of the investigative Committee continues investigation into a traffic accident in Vladimir Region.

The preliminary investigation has found out that on 6 October 2017, a train travelling from Saint Petersburg to Nizhny Novgorod collided with a technically faulty bus at a railway crossing near Pokrov station in Petushki District, Vladimir Region. None the less, the bus driver Nurgali Sarmanov, aware of the malfunctions, still continued transporting passengers. The crash took lives of 17 people, including 2 underage ones. The organizer of the said trip was Baidully Naltayev, who had looked for passengers, collected fares and organized trips. He organized illegal transportation of foreign citizens without migration documents for a fee of 5,000 rubles for each passenger.

Considering that two or more people were killed because Naltayev provided unsafe services, the Moscow Interregional Transport Office of the Investigative Committee has severed an investigation against him opened in a crime under Part 3 of Article 238 of the RF Criminal Code to form a separate lawsuit.

In the near future, Naltayev is going to be charged and then the investigators will ask courts to take him in custody pending trial. At present, investigative operations are ongoing to find out all the circumstances surrounding the accident.

The investigation continues.
