Probe launched in Yaroslavl Region against principle of boarding school after media reports on tortures of students

The Yaroslavl Region Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation against director of Yaroslavl boarding school No 7 suspected of improper discharge of duties aggravated by cruel treatment. The case was opened after media reported tortures over students of the school.

According to investigators, the 48-year-old suspect, used inappropriate methods of teaching on two students aged 15 and 16, who head hearing problems. She disparaged them. At present, investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances surrounding the crime and to register evidence.

The progress of the investigation is being supervised by senior officials of the regional investigative authority.
