Alexander Bastrykin congratulates criminalists on professional holiday

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee has congratulated all criminalists on the Forensics Service Day.

Congratulating criminalists, Mr. Bastrykin noted that in our time forensic science is one of the most important instrument for finding the truth. Not a single high-profile crime stays without their attention today. “You do something that seems impossible – you use latest technologies and equipment to get evidence and based on unique examinations solve crimes deemed hopeless.”

The Chairman pointed out that in the past few years the Investigative Committee’s Forensics Directorate got a reputation of a reliable and irreplaceable element of investigation. “You are always on the front line, whether it is a murder, a terror attack, an air crash or search for a missing child. Without you, many crimes would no doubt still be unsolved.”

Mr. Bastrykin thanked criminalists for their selfless work and readiness to work under any conditions: “Your difficult work requires exceptional attentiveness, total devotion and great responsibility.”

The Chairman sincerely wished the colleagues professional success, sound health, good luck and understanding from their loved ones.
