Progress in investigation in attempted murder of journalist in Moscow

Boris Grits, 48, has been questioned by an investigator of the Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee as a suspect of an attempted murder of journalist Tatyana Felgengauer. When being detained, Grits had his driving lessons on him allowing investigators to quickly identify him. According to the suspect, he was born in Abkhazia, studied in Moscow and has double citizenship of Israel and Russia. In 2003, he went to Israel and came back to Russia a month ago. He is living at his friend’s. The suspect explained that he had been communicating with the victim for 5 years using telepathy. He disliked the woman and decided to kill her. The man had nothing to say about professional activity of Ms. Felgengauer.

To get inside Ekho Moskvy radio station, Grits had made a kind of a blueprint, which in fact has nothing to do with the actual layout of offices in the building. He had shown the papers to a security guard and then sprayed tear gas into his eyes.

Considering that the suspect insists that he has been having telepathic connection with the victim for a long time and based on the requirements of the criminal procedure legislation, the suspect is going to be evaluated. In addition, the investigators are going to ask courts to place the man in custody pending trial considering violent character of the crime he committed.

The Investigative Committee is going to post updates on the case.
