The Chelyabinsk Region office of the Investigative Committee has finished an investigation against a resident of the town of Chelyabinsk charged with murder of a minor under part 2, item “c” of Article 105 and malicious wounding under Part 1 of Article 111 of the RF Criminal Code.

Investigators have found out that in March 2013, the accused being drunk killed his 4-month-old son because he was crying. He put the baby’s body in a cradle and threw it down from a bridge into a car of a passing freight train. The body was found in the car in a settlement in Sverdlovsk Region. The accused has a large and problem family, which changed residences many times without notifying social services.

The crime was solved thanks to devoted work of employees of the Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk Region Offices of the Investigative Committee.

The man has been arrested and charged with murder of his son. The investigators also have discovered that the man was involved in malicious wounding of an acquaintance of his in 2017.

Parental rights of the accused and his wife on 4 children have been terminated.

The investigators have enough evidence, so the case has been referred to court.
