Alexander Bastrykin takes control of probe in attempted murder of journalist Tatyana Felgengauer

Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has taken control of the investigation opened by the Moscow Directorate in the attempted murder of journalist Tatyana Felgengauer under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 105 of the RF Criminal Code.

As became known earlier, Boris Grits, 48, got into the office of a radio station in Novy Arbat Street on the afternoon of 23 October 2017 and attacked the journalist by stabbing her in the neck. Investigators questioned the suspect, searched the flat he occupied and carried out other investigative operations in the shortest possible time.

Mr. Bastrykin has ordered head of the Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee Alexander Drymanov to take all necessary steps as soon as possible to look into the circumstances surrounding the attack. The investigators are going to gather necessary evidence and assess the actions of the accused once he has been evaluated by psychiatrists.
