Cadets of Investigative Committee’s Alexander Nevsky Cadet School take part in march dedicated to 76th anniversary of 1941 parade

A march dedicated to the 76th anniversary of the legendary military parade of 1941 has been held today on Red Square in Moscow. In 1941, during the battle of Moscow, the way of soldiers of the Red Army and militia to the war front started at the Kremlin walls.

The commemorative march was attended by some 5 thousand people: cavalrymen of the Presidential Regiment, military men of historical companies, joint military orchestra of the Moscow Territorial Garrison, Suvorov Military School Students and cadets. Cadets of the Alexander Nevsky Cadet School of the Investigative Committee were among those marching.

They had been training hard for two months to perform properly at the parade. 92 best cadets of 10th and 11th grades were selected for that. The regiment was headed by first deputy director of the Cadet School Colonel of Justice Igor Aleksandrov.

The opportunity to march before those who protected the homeland from fascist occupants became another stimulus for the cadets to improve their grades.

Cadet Artyom Osetrov, great grandson of a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, shared his impression of the event: “it is exciting and honorary to march before spectators, those who saw and fought the Great Patriotic War. I would like the elder generation who looked at the youth today, were proud of us, saw our readiness to fight against anyone interfering with our state’s sovereignty.”

The cadets who took part in the event unanimously said that it was an honor for them to get the right to march on Red Square and commemorate Soviet soldiers who fought fearlessly for the peaceful future of their country.
