Russian Investigative Committee ready to cooperate with WADA

The head Office of the Investigative Committee continues criminal proceedings against former acting director of the Anti-Doping Center, a federal state unitary enterprise, Grigory Rodchenkov charged with abuse of power and destroying samples of athletes. Investigators are also checking if other people were involved in tampering with doping tests of athletes.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has announced on its website that it has an electronic database of the Moscow Anti-Doping Center laboratory information system allegedly containing information on athletes’ tests from January 2012 to August 2015.

The Russian Investigative Committee offers WADA cooperation to investigate possible violation of anti-doping rules and to analysis of the database’s information.

The Investigative Committee forwarded an offer for cooperation to WADA on 13 November 2017.
