Probe launched in L410 passenger plane crash in Khabarovsk Territory

The Far Eastern Transport Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in violation of aircraft traffic and operation safety code entailing death of two or more people under Part 3 of Article 263 of the RF Criminal Code after a Let L410 passenger plane with passengers and crew aboard crashed on 15 November 2017.

According to investigators, at about 1 PM local time on 15 November 2017, the L410 en route from Khabarovsk to Nelkan and operated by Khabarovsk Airlines crashed on landing. Two crew members and four passengers died, while a three-year-old child was injured. The exact number of victims is being confirmed now.

At present, the investigators are taking fuel samples and are confiscating technical and fight documents from the Khabarovsk Airlines.

There are three versions of the crash: bad weather, possible error of the pilot or technical failure of the plane.

An investigation team is on its way to the crash scene to find out all the circumstances surrounding the accident.
