Alexander Bastrykin orders Central Office take over number of checks into media reports

Mass media have published today reports on offences against a Minor from Udmurtia and socially unprotected citizens in Kirov Region.

Some of the media published a video showing how one teenage girl beats another one near a stadium in the town of Votkinsk, Udmurtia. The Mari-El Office of the Investigative Committee has requested the files of the check from the police.

A federal TV channel also showed a footage saying about violation of rights of inmates of a nursing home in Kirov Region. The senior citizens complain that they were charged for medical, funeral and other services which according to the law should be free of charge. The senior citizens are reported to have signed agreements for some additional paid services, but were not realizing their meaning. The Kirov Region Office of the Investigative Committee launched a check into the incident.

Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has ordered that all the said facts should be checked thoroughly and that investigations should be opened if there are enough reasons for that. The Central Office is going to supervise the checks and following procedural decisions.
