Man who killed five bikers jailed in Moscow Region following guilty verdict

A court has recognized the evidence gathered by the Moscow Region Office of the Investigative Committee as sufficient to convict Ilya Aseyev. He was found guilty of murder of two or more people under Part 2, item “a” of Article 105 of the RF Criminal Code.

The court and investigators have found out, that on 8 may 2016, at about 6 AM, 5 men riding motorbikes and Ilya Aseyev had a conflict near an abandoned brewery in the village of Chelokhovo, Yegoryevsk District. The accused shot the men to death from a Saiga hunting rifle. Two women who had come with the five men saw what happened. The accused fled the scene after the crime.

Aseyev was detained near his house during well-planned investigative and search operations. He confessed to the crime and gave detailed statement.

Investigator ran over 20 forensic examinations and questioned over 20 witnesses during a preliminary investigation.

The court has sentenced Aseyev to a life in a super-maximum security correctional facility.
