The Krasnoyarsk Territory Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in reckless homicide under Part 1 of Article 109 of the RF Criminal Code.

According to investigators, a fire started in a wooden house in the settlement of Solontsy at about 11 PM on 5 December. The house was occupied by a family with 2 children. The parents managed to get out of the burning house with their baby in their arms, but could not save their elder 9-year-old son as were severely injured. Both man and woman were taken to a hospital with burns of between 40 and 80% of bodies. A fire examination has been ordered. The investigators are working to find out all the circumstances surrounding the fire. The investigation continues.
