A 12-year-old boy who went missing the day before in Khabarovsk Territory has been found today during joint search operations.

On 18 December 2017, boy left a hospital in Zheleznodorozhny District of Khabarovsk where he had been put along with his elder sister.

The child was found alive thanks to joint efforts and efficient work of all forces involved in the search, including the Children’s Ombudsman, workers of the Investigative Committee, Russian Guard, Interior Ministry, Emergency Ministry, district administration, volunteers and ordinary people.

The boy is being examined by doctors at the moment, while investigators are questioning him and his parents. No crimes have been committed against the boy.

The Investigative Committee thanks all those involved in the search!

However, there is an ongoing inquiry and the investigators are going to find out all the circumstances surrounding the boy’s disappearance, as well as the reasons for and contributing factors to the incident.
