In Bashkortostan, foreperson of housing and utilities administration found guilty of unsafe services

A court has recognized the evidence gathered by the Bashkortostan Office of the Investigative Committee as sufficient to convict a 47-year-old foreperson of OOO Housing and Utilities Administration 4 in the town of Ishimbai. She was found guilty of provision of services or execution or work that do not meet safety requirements and have entailed grievous bodily harm under Part 2, item “c” of Article 238 of the RF Criminal Code.

The court and investigators have revealed that the foreperson against her professional duties failed to control the condition of the roof on house No 9 in Pavlik Morozov Street in Ishimbai and see if there was snow and ice in February 2017, when there were heavy snowfalls. Realizing that lack of clearing did not meet the safety code, the foreperson still ignored complaints from the residents of the house and failed to take necessary measures to clear the snow and ice from the roof. As a result of her criminal omission, on 24 February 2017, snow fell on a 44-year-old resident of the house causing him grievous bodily harm.

The investigation took 22 days, during which the investigators questioned 43 witnesses and conducted 60 investigative operations. Under the load of evidence, the accused admitted her guilt and requested that her case was tried under a special procedure.

The court has sentenced the woman to a fine of 100 thousand rubles.
