Some 10 million rubles paid to pay off overdue wages during preliminary check in Krasnoyarsk Territory

A group of 5 workers of OOO Taimyrugol, a limited liability company, came to meet the acting head of the Investigative Committee’s Krasnoyarsk Territory Directorate on 23 December 2017 and complained that they had not been paid wages since May 2017. The group represented interests of some other 40 workers who also had not been paid their wages. The Krasnoyarsk Territory Directorate is now running a check.

On 14 December 2017, the Krasnoyarsk Territory Directorate held a round table to discuss failure to pay wages and other violates of workmen’s protection at Taimyrugol. The meeting was attended by representative of the Krasnoyarsk Territory prosecutor’s office, head of the labor department of Rospotrebnadzor (the federal consumer rights protection authority), deputy head of Rosprirodnadzor (the federal natural resources inspectorate), representative of the State Labor Inspectorate in Krasnoyarsk Territory, employees of the Central District Investigative Department and Krasnoyarsk Territory Directorate of the Investigative Committee. They discussed prospects of paying the debt to the workers of Taimyrugol and worked out joint efforts that have to be taken to handle the problem.

By now, part of the debt of some 10 million rubles has been paid.
