Investigative Committee Chairman dispatches experienced criminalists of Investigative Committee’s Central office to Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area to assist investigation in car crash that killed 10

Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has dispatched experienced criminalists of the Investigative Committee’s Central Office to Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area to provide assistance, conduct necessary investigative operations and expert examinations and find out all the circumstances surrounding the road accident that left 10 people dead, including 4 children.

The Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra Office of the Investigative Committee continues investigation in violation of the road code entailing death of two or more people under Part 5 of Article 164 of the RF Criminal Code.

As became known earlier, marker 159 of the road linking Khanty-Mansiysk and Nyagan. 10 people were killed in the accident.

At present, investigative operations are ongoing to find out all the reasons for and circumstances surrounding the accident. Forensic medical examinations have been ordered, while the investigators keep working at the scene.
