The probe into a car crash that happened in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area-Yugra and killed 10 people, including 4 children has been taken over by the regional investigative authority. The decision was made due to grievous consequences of the accident (death of minors) that happened in Oktyabrskoye District at kilometer marker 158 of the regional road linking Khanty-Mansiysk and Nyagan.

Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin ordered the head of the regional investigative authority to immediately dispatch a team of investigators to the scene. At the moment, investigators and criminalists of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area-Yugra Office of the Investigative Committee are working at the scene conducting an initial investigation.

The probe is under control at the Investigative Committee’s Central Office.
