Investigative Committee Chairman orders Head Office to take over probe into stabbing of school sutdents in Perm Territory


Following an order given by Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee, a criminal case opened into attempted murder of two or more people under Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2, item “a” of Article 105 of the RF Criminal Code after an incident that happened in a school in Motovilikhinsky District of Perm, has been passed over to the Head Office of the Investigative Committee.

An investigator of the Head Office dispatched to Perm Territory, has been instructed to figure out not only the circumstances surrounding the incident, but reasons for it and contributing factors. The investigation will also give legal assessment to actions (omission) of the school staff, teenagers’ parents and those responsible for safety at school.

In addition, the Chairman has sent to perm Territory his senior assistant.
