Chairman of Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin visits Vanya Voronov

Today, Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has visited Vanya Voronov severely wounded in Donbass, and wished him happy New Year and Orthodox Christmas.

Mr. Bastrykin was really glad to see success this brave and strong boy had achieved. “Vanya was able to not only overcome his severe wounds, he also does great on daily basis and in his studies. He does a lot of PE and is very optimistic,” the Chairman said.

Vanya said to Mr. Bastrykin that he planned to visit, support and talk to other children being treated at the Leonid Roshal’s Research Institution for Emergency Children’s Surgery and Traumatology. This was the hospital where doctors had done everything possible and impossible to bring Vanya Back to life.

“Vanya’s huge inner power, his courage and desire to overcome all obstacles are a striking example for not only his peers, but for our investigators as well,” Mr. Bastrykin said.

He invited Vanya to celebration of the Homeland Defender’s Day at the Investigative Committee.

The Investigative Committee has been patronizing Vanya Voronov since day one, when Doctor Liza got the wounded boy from Donbass.
