Alexander Bastrykin orders Central Office of Investigative Committee supervise probe into murder of businessman and his young son in Orenburg Region

Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has ordered the Central Office to supervise the investigation in the murder of a businessman and his 7-year-old son.

The bodies of the 35-year-old businessman and his son with multiple stab wounds were found in a Toyota Land Cruiser 200 about 9 AM on 17 January 2018 in a yard between houses 96 and 98 in Karagandinskaya Street in Orenburg. The Orenburg Region Office of the Investigative Committee opened an investigation in murder under Part 2, items “a” and “c” of Article 105 of the RF Criminal Code.

Investigators have examined the scene thoroughly and ordered necessary forensic tests.

They are considering different options of the crime, including connection with the victim’s professional activity and personal motives.

An investigator of the Investigative Committee’s Head Office has been dispatched to Orenburg.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee has ordered that all measures should be taken to identify and detain those who committed the crime.
