Probe finished into former head of Dagestan Directorate of Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia

The Main Directorate on Major Crimes Investigation of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation finished the criminal investigation into Kubasay Kubasaev, a former head of the Dagestan Directorate of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia. He is accused of committing an offence under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of Russia (bribe-taking).

According to the investigators, in 2013-2015, the accused had received a 2 million ruble bribe, as well as possessions (Swiss watch and hunting gun) from Shamil Kadiev, a Director of the Dagestan State Institution “Single Customer Constructor Directory”. On his turn, he had not hindered for the Dagestan State Institution “Single Customer Constructor Directory” to conduct auctions for the right to sign public contracts.

The investigation gathered enough evidence, therefore, the criminal case with the approved indictment was sent to the court to be tried on the merits.
