Wage arrears in Tula Research Institute of Technology paid in full

The Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation finished a probe into a former General Director of JSC Tula Research Institute of Technology charged with non-payment of wages for over two months, that is, with committing an offence under Part 2 of Article 145.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia.

According to the investigators, in October 2016 - April 2017, the accused, having failed to pay wages to workers of the enterprise in his charge timely and to the full and having wage arrears, had used the monetary resources of the enterprise exceeding 13 billion rubles for other purposes to satisfy creditors’ claims.

During the investigation, a significant amount of work was done in a short time. Victims and witnesses were interrogated; documents on financial and economic activity of the enterprise were seized, inspected and subjected to all relevant examinations, including economic forensic expertise.

Due to the well-coordinated complex of the investigative activities and the assistance of Tula Region Governor, the damage caused by the crime was compensated to the full - the wage arrears for 36 workers were paid.

At the moment, the investigators obtained enough evidence; therefore, the probe was forwarded to a prosecutor to confirm an indictment.
