Alexander Bastrykin, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, instructed to refer the probe into Ivan Bomberger, the deputy head of Sochi administration suspected in exceeding official powers (Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Russia) to the North Caucasian Federal District Main Investigations Directorate for a full, comprehensive and credible investigation.
As it has been mentioned, the official had exceeded his official powers by giving out a permit for construction of an apartment housing complex within the power line restricted area, risking an emergency and cutting of the electricity supply.
The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed to develop an investigation plan and carry out all necessary investigative activities both to register evidence of the committed crime and to check legitimacy of other decisions made by the official.
