Alexander Bastrykin holds meeting with Ronald Noble, former Secretary-General of Interpol
Today Alexander Bastrykin, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, had a meeting with Ronald Noble, the former Secretary-General of Interpol.
Many years of their collaboration developed into a warm friendship and first of all Ronald Noble wished Alexander Bastrykin a happy late birthday. He noted the superior professional qualities of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee and underlined the significance of his contribution to development of the cooperation with competent structures of international organizations.
The meeting of the two parties was held in the Museum of Memory in the former office of Lieutenant General for Justice Mikhail Georgievich Yadrov. Alexander Bastrykin shared with Ronald Noble his memories about Mikhail Yadrov who had served in the Investigative Committee from the moment of its foundation. “He was a unique person and a genuine professional; he made a huge contribution to the development of the Committee, particularly he was one of the first who had started organising collaboration with international police.”
In his turn, Ronald Noble told the Chairman of the IC about his visit to Moscow during the FIFA World Cup. He commended the high level of organization of the sports competition and noted the high-profile security level provided by Russian law enforcement officers during the event.
The parties also discussed relevant questions in respect of their expertise.
Alexander Bastrykin appreciated Ronald Noble’s impact in development of collaboration between Interpol and the Russian investigation, as well as his assistance in investigation of grave and especially grave offences.
The Chairman of the IC awarded his guest with the Certificate of Merit for his support in addressing the challenges entrusted to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and Interpol’s legal assistance to the Russian investigation, noting that “there will always be a need for his supreme experience and knowledge.”
