Investigative Committee of Russia hosts meeting with Chairman of Thailand National Anti-Corruption Commission

On April 26, Moscow hosted a working meeting of Alexander Fedorov, the Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, with Watcharapon Prasarnratkit, the Chairman of the Thailand National Anti-Corruption Commission.

That was the first visit of the Chairman of the Thailand National Anti-Corruption Commission, which had a status of an independent law enforcement authority, to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

During the meeting, the parties discussed relative issues of development of interaction in the field of countering corruption.

The parties specifically underlined that corruption was an international phenomenon and that created an objective need to coordinate efforts of the Thailand National Anti-Corruption Commission and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in countering corruption, including those under the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation.

According to the parties, similar high-level meetings allowed maintaining the bilateral relations at the appropriate level.

The Thai representative invited Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin to carry out a working visit to Thailand at a suitable time.
