Working meeting of Chairman of Investigative Committee of Russia with Acting Governor of Saint Petersburg

Today, during his working visit to Saint Petersburg, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin held a working meeting with Alexander Beglov, the Acting Governor of Saint Petersburg.

The meeting was devoted to issues of development of the system of educational institutions of the Investigative Committee located in the Northern capital. Those included the Saint Petersburg Academy of the Investigative Committee created in 2016 that provided education under “Legal framework of national security”, and the Saint Petersburg Cadet School created in 2017. The education in the school is imparted in compliance with state standards of primary and secondary general education, but significant attention is paid to patriotic education.

Alexander Bastrykin specifically underlined that it is necessary to continue forming traditional moral values in young people, noting that the Investigative Committee worked very hard for it and engaged not only students of the educational institutions of the Committee, but also inmates of children’s homes under patronage and other children that took part in events organized by the Committee.

Alexander Beglov supported the ideas of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia about the necessity of future education and patriotic upbringing of the young generation.

Apart from that, the meeting involved discussing the development of the Forensics Centre of the Committee and general aspects of crime control and strengthening of the rule of law in Saint Petersburg within the authority of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
