Cadets of Investigative Committee of Russia take part in solemn procession on Red Square

On November 7, 2018, cadets of the Alexander Nevsky Cadet Corps of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation took part in a solemn procession on the Red Square devoted to the 77th anniversary of the military parade dated November 7, 1941, when heavy fighting had only been several dozens of kilometres away from the city.

About 500 people marched across the main square of the country, including cadets of Moscow cadet schools and classes, military troops of military units and institutions of the Ministry of Defence, and a cavalry group of the Presidential Regiment. Military hardware of the Great Patriotic War was also presented.

The ceremonial squad included medallists and winners of the All-Russian School Olympiad, straight A students, contest winners, and people awarded with Civil Defence (GTO) gold badges that secured an honourable right to march across the Red Square.

This year, the ceremonial squad was headed by Vice Staff Sergeant Nikita Ingnatyev, an 11th grade student.

Preparation to the solemn procession had included two months of intense sessions of marching drills and rigorous training.

At the end of the solemn procession, the cadets were awarded with commemorative medals of parade participants.
