In Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) man found guilty of hooliganism on air transport, insult and violence against representative of authority

The evidence gathered by the Eastern-Siberian Transport Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia was considered by the court to be sufficient to charge a 32-year-old air hooligan. He was found guilty of offences under Article 213, Part 2; Article 318, Part 1; and Article 319 of the Criminal Code of Russia (hooliganism on air transport; insult and using violence against representative of the authority during the discharge by them their official duties).

According to the investigation and the court, on August 15, 2018, at about 9 AM local time, aboard TU-154 flying from Moscow to Mirny a 32-year-old Moscow citizen under the influence of alcohol had severely violated public order by shouting obscenities at flight attendants, trying to ignite a conflict, and had resisted demands of the crew to stop his illegal actions. Upon arrival of the plane to Mirny airport, the man had been delivered to a police department where he had continued his hooligan actions, behaved aggressively, used obscene language, and also kicked the police officers.

The court sentenced him to pay a fine of 320,000 roubles.
