Chairman of Investigative Committee of Russia instructs Central Office to supervise pre-investigation probe into violation of housing rights of a pensioner

Alexander Bastrykin instructed the Central Office to supervise a pre-investigation probe launched upon information about violation of the housing rights of a pensioner in the city of Nalchik (the Kabardino-Balkar Republic).

The pre-investigation probe was initiated after a mass media report. According to the media, the elderly woman had been forced to sign documents on false pretences and to lose her house as a result, and now she has to seek shelter from her acquaintances.

Alexander Bastrykin ordered to give a comprehensive legal assessment of all the circumstances outlined in the publication and establish what had happened in detail. The pre-investigative probe will result in a procedural decision.
