Today, November 18, 2018, a body of a 12-year-old girl was found in an apartment of a residential building in Lysva, Perm Territory, with injuries of criminal nature. The Perm Regional Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation launched a probe under Paragraph C of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (murder of a minor).

The management team of the Directorate and the most experienced forensics officers immediately arrived to the crime scene; at the moment, the scene is being examined by a crime scene investigation team. A local citizen has been detained at suspicion on committing the crime. The investigator intends to go to court with a motion to keep the detainee in custody.

A set of Investigative activities aimed at establishing of the motive and circumstances of the crime committed, as well as at collection and preservation of the evidence base, is currently ongoing. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
