Alexander Bastrykin takes part in 87th session of Interpol General Assembly

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin took part in the 87th session of the Interpol General Assembly which is currently taking place in the United Arab Emirates.

At the event attended by Chiefs of law enforcement agencies and experts from all over the world, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation had a discussion with Interpol Secretary General Jürgen Stock, where he thanked his foreign colleague for the invitation and for the opportunity to talk about a wide range of issues of combating crime worldwide among the respectable attendees.

Alexander Bastrykin noted that he highly appreciated the work of the Interpol General Secretariat, including the information exchange in a number of areas related to the international search for criminals hiding from preliminary investigation authorities, and expressed his gratitude for objective results of the analysis performed by the Interpol General Secretariat of materials provided by the Investigative Committee of Russia.

Praising the most refined organisation of the event, the Chairman of the Committee underlined that the Interpol General Assembly provides a wonderful opportunity for law enforcement officers of different countries to exchange expert opinions and best practices of responding to contemporary challenges and threats the modern society has to face.
