Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia arranges a procedural probe into violations during renovation of Strunino hospital in Vladimir Region following a media report

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexande Bastrykin instructed the head of the Vladimir Regional Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation to carry out a preliminary investigation into media reports about violations, including those of financial nature, during renovation and providing with required equipment of a hospital complex in Strunino.

Today a federal channel broadcast a report about Vladimir regional authorities failing to meet deadlines for hospital renovation set by the President of the Russian Federation during the "Direct line" session. Local citizens report that the building of the regional hospital and children's polyclinic in Strunino are still not equipped with modern medical equipment. It was also reported that the hospital isn't provided with medical supplies and citizens have to buy medication at their own expense.

Alexander Bastrykin instructed the investigators to analyse actions (inaction) of local authorities, to check arguments raised by citizens and to launch probes immediately if any offences are detected. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the Central Office to supervise the process and the results of the procedural probe.
