In Moscow Region, woman who left her child in entrance hall sentenced

The evidence gathered by the Moscow Regional Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia was found by the court to be sufficient to sentence 40-year-old Tatyana Grinishak. She was found guilty of committing offences under Article 156 (failure to discharge the duties of bringing up a minor) and Article 125 (abandoning to danger) of the Criminal Code of Russia.

The investigation and the court established that, on October 14, 2018, Grinishak brought her little son to an apartment building entrance hall in Shchyolkovo, Moscow Region, where she left him and went to Saratov Region on her own. The boy was found by residents of the building who reported it to the police.

Upon instruction of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, a criminal inquiry was launched immediately by the Moscow Regional Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia. Investigators together with policemen detained the boy’s mother in no time.
