The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia meets with students and teachers of Saint Petersburg educational institutions of the Committee

The working visit of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia to Saint Petersburg continued with a working meeting on matters of supplying the needs of the Cadet Corps and the Academy of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Saint Petersburg. This academic year our educational institutions are proud to have an increased number of students and cadets that are orphan or left without parental care. Upon decision of Alexander Bastrykin the Committee pays special attention to their support.

After listening to a report of the Head of Saint Petersburg Academy of the Committee the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia highlighted a number of issues. The meeting was held in the presence of students who were invited to take part in the discussion. It was established that not all students have moved from educational facilities to the Cadet Corps placement with the beginning of the new academic year.

Alexander Bastrykin instructed his subordinates to find solutions for each of the problems and to accomodate students in Cadet Corps as soon as possible. The Head of the Committee also demanded to resolve the issue with tailoring uniforms for the students and to find ways to cut personal expenses of the students on food in the Academy and accomodation in dormitories of other agencies.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia congratulated the students with the beginning of the new academic year and some of them with their first step on the way to a complicated but interesting profession of investigator. According to him, from the moment of enrollment each student of educational institutions of the Committee ha to know that he becomes a part of a big and close family. He addressed the high schoolers of the Cadet Corps and asked them to take the newcomers under their patronage, especially the children with complicated fate.

Summarizing the meeting, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia focused the attention of his subordinates on the fact that staff of the educational institutions must create all conditions for students who have fallen into difficult life situation to feel full support: "They have to study on a par with other human rights without thinking about any material problems", - he resumed.

The working visit of Alexander Bastrykin to the Northern Capital ended with a meeting with students of Saint Petersburg State University. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia delivered the first lecture in the new academic year for the students of the Faculty of Law. Within the framework of the first topic of elective course "Search. Inquest. Investigation" the professor defined the concept of "search" in a narrow and broad context, mentioned a number of concepts and provided general characteristics of search activities.
