Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructs the Central Office to supervise probe into accident involving children in Sverdlovsk Region

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin has instructed the Central Office of the Committee to supervise the progress and results of the inspection activities organized by the Sverdlovsk Regional Investigations Directorate launched upon the media report on two minor Yekaterinburg citizens’ receiving burns.

On September 20, 2019, the media reported about two children of 3.5 and 10 years of age receiving thermal burns during their vacation in Kestel settlement (the Turkish Republic). According to the data from the media publications, the incident had occurred during a dinner, when a hotel cook had been demonstrating professional tricks. At this show, the children had been doused with hot oil, as a result of which they had received burns of varying severity and had been delivered to a local healthcare institution. They are currently receiving the required medical treatment.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed to thoroughly examine the circumstances of the accident involving inflicting injuries to the children in the Turkish Republic.
