The Tyumen Regional Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia has charged the 23-year-old woman for the commission of offences under paragraph D of Part 2 of Article 126 (kidnapping of a minor) and paragraph C of Part 2 of Article 105 (murder of a minor attended by the kidnapping) of the Criminal Code of Russia.

According to the investigation, on September 24, 2019, at about 12 PM, the accused had kidnapped a baby boy from a house in Zavodoukovsk. Later, approximately at 1 PM, she had killed the baby in the forest.

Due to joint search activities conducted by investigators of the Tyumen Regional Directorate of the Investigative Committee and officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Tyumen Region, the woman was found and detained. The accused woman underwent procedural acts and investigative activities, then pleaded guilty.

Today, upon investigative motion, the court has ruled to place the accused in custody. During the investigation, all the causes and conditions that had led to the commission of the offences against the child will be inspected. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
