Alexander Bastrykin instructs to refer probe into child’s death in Krasnoyarsk Territory in 2015 to the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia


Today, a federal TV channel has voiced criticism of the investigation into the death of a little girl in Krasnodar Territory in 2015. The deceased girl’s relatives have spoken about possible errors in the examination conducted as part of the investigative activities.

The criminal investigation into the death of the child in 2015 (Paragraph C of Part 2 of Article 105, Paragraph E of Part 2 of Article 126 of the Criminal Code of Russia) is conducted by the Krasnodar Regional Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

According to the investigation, on the daytime of June 29, 2015, when her family had not been at home, the girl had gone in an unknown direction by herself and disappeared. The body of the child had been found in Adagum riverbed at stanitsa Nizhnebakanskaya, nearby the girl’s relatives’ place of residence, during search activities on the morning of June 30, 2015.

Psychological and outpatient comprehensive psychological, sexological, psychiatric and psychiatric examinations of witnesses are conducted in order to gather information. In addition, materials have been isolated from the criminal case file and a preliminary investigation into possible forgery of evidence in the criminal case has been arranged. The actions of the expert are being inspected in the pre-investigative probe as well.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia has instructed to refer the criminal case and materials of the pre-investigative probes to the Central Office of the Investigative Committee for further comprehensive investigation and to thoroughly check the grievances of the affected party.
