The Saratov Regional Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation continues investigation of a probe into offence under Paragraph C of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (murder of a juvenile).
As it was reported earlier, the child searched for since October 9, was found dead. On the day of disappearance, at approximately 7:30 AM, the girl left home in the direction of an educational facility and didn't appear there. A person that might be involved in the murder of a girl was identified during joint investigative and search activities carried out by investigators and forensic investigators of the Regional Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia and Saratov Regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Investigators of Investigative Committee of Russia detained a 35-year-old previously convicted local citizen. During interrogation the man reported about circumstances of the murder of a girl committed by him.
Today, upon request of the investigation, the suspect was put into custody.
The most experienced investigators and forensic experts of the Regional Investigations Directorate are engaged in the investigation. Forensic investigators of the Central Office of the Committee were instructed by Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin to join the investigation to provide practical help for investigation, prompt proving and examining of evidence.
Investigative actions are being carried out in order to collect and prove evidence. Required forensic examinations have been arranged.
The Investigative Committee of Russia has taken utmost measures for complete, impartial and objective investigation of this offence in order to bring the perpetrator to justice. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
