Mass media spread information on two young men mercilessly beating their acquaintance and taping it in Krasnoyarsk. The man fell into coma and subsequently passed away. However, participants of the fight have not been detained. Local citizens think that such selective approach is caused by the fact that the perpetrator is a son of a former judge and a chairman of deputy council. The probe was initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs but was referred to the investigative bodies of the Main Investigators Directorate for Krasnoyarsk Territory and Republic of Khakassia upon death of the beaten man.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee instructed to carry out the whole set of investigative actions required for comprehensive and impartial investigation of all circumstances of this cruel and cynical crime and to take measures to detain both accomplices and motion the court to elect for them a preventive measure related to exclusion from society. There should be no doubt that kinship of any of the perpetrators of such heinous crimes cannot affect making legal decisions upon them. Investigation of this probe is under supervision of Alexander Bastrykin.

The Head of the Committee also instructed to supervise process and results of a probe launched by the Voronezh Regional Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia into a traffic accident involving a police officer. At present the investigation has established that in the evening of October 11, 2019 the police officer, being under the influence of alcohol, swerved into oncoming traffic and collided with a car having on board a 20-year-old woman and a 13-year-old girl who received severe health injuries.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the direction of the Voronezh Regional Investigations Directorate to carefully examine all circumstances of the accident, including reasons and circumstances that facilitated committing of the offence.

Apart from that, the Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed to immediately launch a pre-investigative probe into information reported by one of federal channels about infringement of rights of children in Kopeysk city of Chelyabinsk Region forced to take classes of hand-to-hand combat in a premise unfit for this purpose. The report says that the children were moved from a more spacious premise renovated and equipped by their parents and this premise in now rented out by its owner. Alexander Bastrykin instructed the direction of the Chelyabinsk Regional Investigations Directorate to assess all facts reported by journalists and related to infringement of children's rights and to take a motivated legal decision upon assessment.
