The Investigative Committee of Russia continues investigating a probe into violence used against representatives of authorities during mass riots in July 2019. First detainees - Egor Lesnyh, Maxim Martintsov, Andrey Barshay, Vladimir Emelyanov and Alexander Mylnikov - have been charged under Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code of Russia (use of violence against a representative of authority).
Investigation collected and analysed data on the personalities of the designated persons. Upon this investigation decided to motion the court to put Egor Leshyh, Maxim Martintsov, Andrey Barshay and Vladimir Emelyanov into custody. Since Alexander Mylnikov, working as a delivery man, has three dependent children born in 2014, 2015 and 2018 and at present, his wife doesn't work, the investigation motions the court to subject him to house detention.
According to the investigation, on July 27, 2019, in Rozhdestvenka street of Moscow city Egor Lesnyh, Maxim Martintsov, and Alexander Mylnikov, acting as a group, threw a National Guard officer to a sidewalk and kicked him. Apart from that, Lesnyh kicked another law enforcement officer. Andrey Barshay attacked a National Guard officer by pushing him in the back with a running start and Vladimir Emelyanov held a law enforcement officer, trying to throw him on the ground and keeping him from the fulfilment of his duties.
Illegal actions of the indicated persons are proved by testimony of witnesses and video records from the scene of accidents.
The investigation is ongoing.
