In July of this year in Kirov Region, a six-year-old boy rode a bike on a country road and was killed by a car driven by an acting police officer - operative attendant of Nemsky checkpoint of Kilmezsky Intermunicipal Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Kirov Regional Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation is investigating a probe under Part 3 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of Russia (traffic violation) into this fact. An expert found 0.51 ppm of alcohol in the boy’s blood; parents of the boy strongly disagree with this fact.
Due to high impact of the case and necessity of a qualified expert re-examination, Alexander Bastrykin instructed to refer the probe to the Central Office for further investigation and comprehensive investigation to examine all arguments of the boy’s parents and to arrange forensic re-examinations.
