In Yaroslavl Region, a person suspected of a murder of seven persons put into custody

The Yaroslavl Regional Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia continues investigation of a probe into the death of seven persons including five children in a fire in an apartment building in Rostov. Investigation established that the fire was caused by fire-setting, therefore, the probe was re-classified to an offence under Paragraphs A, F of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (murder of two persons, committed by a generally dangerous method).

A previously not convicted 37-year-old Rostov citizen was arrested on hot pursuit on suspicion of having committed the offence. Today the court reviewed the investigative motion for pre-trial custody for the suspect.

Having considered the motion and examined the submitted materials, the court agreed with arguments of investigation and placed the suspect into custody until December 18.
