Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructs to organize pre-investigative probe into media report about violation of housing rights of citizens of Leningrad Region

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin instructed to organize a pre-investigative probe into media reports about a violation of the housing rights of citizens in Leningrad Region.

Today one of federal TV channels broadcast a report on several families from Vsevolozhsky District of Leningrad Region forced to live in unfinished apartments. As it was noted in the report, people were deprived of electricity, heating, and other facilities. The citizens had been to receive comfortable housing fit for living in 2017, but the constructor had gone bankrupt and the house stayed unfinished.

Alexander Bastrykin instructed to examine all arguments of the citizens given in the report and to take relevant measures to restore their housing rights if need be.

The process of the pre-investigative probe is under the supervision of the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
