The court granted the motion of the investigator of the Arkhangelsk and Nenets Regional Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia and ruled to put the suspect of the murder of the 6-year-old boy in custody.

During interrogation, the suspect refused to give testimony. In the nearest future, the investigators will press charges against him under Paragraph C of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia (murder of a minor).

A worker of security company Svyatogor LLC who was guarding the kindergarten but let the inebriated man in was also arrested. The suspect called on the intercom and the security guard mistook him for a parent of one of the children and remotely, from the security office, opened a door for him.

The worker of the private security company is suspected of committing an offense under Paragraphs B and C of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of Russia (rendering of services which do not meet standards for safety of life and health of consumers aged up to six years entailing by negligence death of a person).

A probe was also launched into negligence of authorities of the State Budgetary Children’s Educational Institution “Centre for Child Development - Kindergarten Skazka” failing to provide safety of presence of a child in a kindergarten institution under Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of Russia (neglect of duty entailing by negligence death of a person).
