Today mass media spread a video from Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District that shows one young man beating a disabled person while another one is video recording it. The Regional Investigations Directorate immediately launched a pre-investigative probe into this accident.

According to preliminary investigative data, the incident happened in Nadym. The participants of the accident have been identified.

The Investigations Directorate over Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District motioned the Prosecutor’s Office to transfer all materials at the disposal of police to the Investigative Committee.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the direction of the Regional Investigations Directorate to take comprehensive measures to protect the rights of the affected young man and to promptly report on the circumstances of the accident and the measures taken by the investigation.
