Probe into double murder in Moscow referred to the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia upon instruction of the Chairman of the Committee


On November 2, 2019 at a yard in Academician Anoknin Street in Moscow an unidentified person fired at list ten gunshots at two men. The victims have been identified as Eldjharkiev Ibragim Abdul-Nazirovich, who was the Head of the Centre for Combating Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs over the Republic of Ingushetia, and his brother born in 1988. The Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia has launched a probe under Paragraphs A, G of Article 105 (murder of two or more persons) and Part 2 of Article 222 of the Criminal Code of Russia (illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, or bearing of firearms).

During first several hours of investigation investigators of Investigative Committee of Russia made a significant progress in solving of this crime: priority versions of this crime have been defined, investigators are working through a range of persons who might be involved in commission of this offence. In order to promptly establish the full picture of the incident and to solve the crime as soon as possible, the probe was referred to the Central Office of the Investigative Committee of Russia upon instruction of the Head of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin.
