In the Republic of Bashkortostan, probe launched into negligence of officials that entailed violation of housing rights of family

The media monitoring revealed a report about a family of four, including two minors, from the town of Dyurtyuli in the Republic of Bashkortostan, whose house had been demolished in 2015. However, to date, the administration of the town has not provided new housing for the family.

The Bashkortostan Republican Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation arranged a pre-investigative probe into this fact, the course and results of which were taken under control by Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin.

Upon the conducted inspection, a probe was launched under Article 293 of the Criminal Code of Russia (negligence) into failure to take measures by unidentified officials of the administration of the town Dyurtyuli of the Dyurtyulinsky District of the Republic of Bashkortostan to provide housing for the family of four.

According to the investigation, in September 2017, a court decision came into legal force, according to which the administration of the town of Dyurtyuli was obligated to provide the family with alternative suitable dwelling in an extraordinary manner under the agreement of social rent, but so far unidentified officials of the administration have not taken sufficient measures to execute the court decision and restore violated housing rights of four residents of the town of Dyurtyuli.

Currently, investigators continue to establish the reasons for possible inaction of officials; employees of the town and district administrations are interrogated, organizational and directive documents on the procedure of provision of housing and enforcement proceeding files in the territorial subdivision of bailiffs are seized. During the investigation, the actions of the town administration officials and bailiffs will be legally assessed.
